Let’s give a shout-out to my special guest, David Miklas, and to everyone who attended The Employer Handbook Zoom Office Hour this past Friday. I had a great time discussing FFCRA, OSHA, and the new CDC COVID-19 guidance.

Did you enjoy it too?

Don’t worry. If you missed it, I’ve got your back. You watch it here on The Employer Handbook YouTube channel. If you like the video, please give it a thumbs up and consider subscribing to the channel. Also, here is a copy of David’s slide deck.

Now, for this Friday’s edition of The Employer Handbook Zoom Office Hour, I started this LinkedIn poll over the weekend to gauge interest on a few HR-compliance topics I assumed interest you. Two topics are running neck-and-neck: (1) the new COBRA rules under the American Rescue Plan Act and (2) vaccines and privacy of employee medical information.

So, guess what?

We’re going to do something unprecedented. This week, on Friday 3/26, we will have Office Hours (plural). Whoa!

12:00-1:00 PM ET
Join me and my special guest, Simone McCormick, to discuss all the privacy implications of vaccinations, health screening, and everything else COVID-related. Simone is not only a fantastic management-side employment lawyer but also a data protection/breach expert. You won’t want to miss this. Click here to register.

1:15-2:15 PM ET
It’s COBRA time. And who better to answer all of your American Rescue Plan Act COBRA-related questions than employee benefits superstars Mark Mathis and Bob Ellerbrock. Mark and Bob have over fifty years of employee-benefits experience between them. Good luck stumping them with your questions. Click here to register.

One registration (free, of course) gets you access to both presentations. We can have unlimited registrants, but the Office Hours are limited to the first 500 attendees. We’ve come close to hitting that number, haven’t yet topped it. So, I’m confident that anyone who wants to attend will be able to do so. Still, I’m recording each session to be safe. If you register and can’t access the event on Friday, I’ll post the video to The Employer Handbook YouTube channel.

If you have hypothetical questions for a friend that our special guests can answer without providing any legal advice or creating any attorney-client privilege, email them to me.

I look forward to seeing you on Friday, March 26, 2021, for The Employer Handbook Zoom Office Hours.
