This may come as a surprise to some of you, but the in-house company lawyers don’t always see eye-to-eye with the HR professionals, supervisors, and employees whom they counsel.
And vice versa.
I’d swap stories with you, but the attorney-client privilege (and my better judgment) cautions against doing so.
So, I have another idea.
Let’s convene a panel of experienced, pragmatic, non-judgmental in-house lawyers. They’ll share with you some of their experience and insights on how legal, HR, and managers work together successfully to avoid thorny employment law issues in the workplace.
And in the spirit of keeping it real, we’ll explore some of the friction and in-house frustrations too.
It’s all in the next edition of The Employer Handbook Zoom Office Hour: “In-House Counsel’s Workplace Dreams and Nightmares,” which will be on Friday, December 9, 2022, at Noon ET.

I’d share more about the event now, but I just got home from the Eagles-Packers Sunday Night Football game and I’m ready for bed. But I’ll add more details between now and the Zoom on 12/9.
In the interim too, I have the results from last week’s Thanksgiving Foods poll. Sadly, my open and notorious attempts to hamstring the 2020 and 2021 winners in each category did nothing to stop them from winning again in 2022. Check out the results below.
