We’re talking labor unions on Zoom at Noon ET today with Jon Hyman. Join us. It’s FREE!

TBH, I didn’t expect this edition of The Employer Handbook Zoom Happy Hour to overwhelm the Zoom servers with a massive audience.

Often, when I write about labor (rather than employment) on this blog, the clicks are, err, less click-y. But, between Amazon and Starbucks, the overall rise in union support, and organized labor’s increased inroads into American workplaces, I shouldn’t have underestimated your response to a Zoom Happy Hour about this movement.

But is it a trend? Or are we dealing with a fad, something that has caught the attention of Gen-Z — until the next shiny penny (it’s still a form of currency) or TikTok video?

Today, we’re going to explore the increased popularity of unions, what’s fueling it, and what non-union employers can (and can’t) do to avoid becoming the next unionized workplace.

And when I say we, I mean me and Jon Hyman. Jon is a shareholder and director at Wickens Herzer Panza in Avon, Ohio. In that capacity, he is a Practice Group Leader of the firm’s Employment & Labor Practice Group and a member of the Firm’s Litigation Department.

Join Jon and me at Noon ET today for the next edition of The Employer Handbook Zoom Office Happy Hour: “Unions: Fad or Trend?”

As always, the Zoom is free. All you have to do is click here and register.
