We’ve all been there.

Ok, some of us haven’t accidentally decorated a viral marijuana cake.

Here’s what happened according to this report from Trisha Ahmed and Katherine Dillinger reporting at CNN:

A marijuana-themed cake made this family’s day in Milledgeville, Georgia — mainly because it was a mistake.

Kensli Davis, whose favorite movie is Disney’s animated tale “Moana,” wanted a movie-themed cake to celebrate her 25th birthday. But when her mom called the local Dairy Queen with the order, the shop heard “marijuana” instead.

A Facebook post from the birthday girl indicated that she was a good sport about it.

I haven’t had a chance to tell y’all about our experience this weekend with my birthday cake. So my mama called and ordered me a cake telling them how much I loved Moana. (Because really I do) Well needless to say these people thought she said marijuana 😂😂😂 That ice cream cake was still good though 🤷🏻‍♀️

The local Dairy Queen didn’t think it was so 😂😂😂. According to Jordan Culver reporting here at USA Today, the company was more like 😠😠😠:

A cake mix-up that went viral is drawing national attention, but the whole scenario is a nightmare for one Georgia woman who lost her Dairy Queen job.

[The employee], who had worked at the Dairy Queen for roughly a year, said the process of making the now-viral cake was overseen by the manager who misheard the order.

“The manager stood behind me while I pulled the images off the internet,” [the employee] said. “She walked by as I decorated the cake. As I boxed the cake up, she was the one who walked it up to the front.”

USA Today also reports that another manager later offered the employee her job back; however, the employee did not accept the offer.

Can you top this? Email me.

I’m not from the South. Still, I hear a story like this and I’m like, “Bless your heart.”

But, I know some of you have better “bless your heart” stories of employees who, despite good intentions, ended up a great conversation starter at the office happy hour instead.

Please share them with me. Another day, I’ll post some of the best ones.
