Let’s rank the top Thanksgiving foods for 2021. (Can anything take down stuffing?!?)

For just the next few days, who gives a you-know-what about vaccine mandates and booster shots?

It’s that time of year when I ask the best blog readers in the world to rank the best Thanksgiving foods. As we did it last year, I’ve divided 32 Thanksgiving edibles — not that kind, Cheech — into four categories: (1) Proteins; (2) Starches, (3) Veggies, and (4) Desserts and Booze.

What I need you to do is take this poll and pick one winner in each category. Then, select an overall winner. I’ll post the results of this year’s survey on Friday!

Last year’s winners were Roasted Turkey, Stuffing (Overall Champion), Green Bean Casserole (vomit!), and Pumpkin Pie.

People (the voices in my head) ask me what I am thankful for this year. Beyond family and good health, I’m grateful for having a supportive network of readers and clients. I apologize for not replying to all of the emails and messages or answering all of your questions on Zoom. But I read them all. And it’s this high level of engagement that fuels me—that and bourbon. So, if you’re searching for an early holiday present for that particular blogger in your life, may I suggest anything from the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection. I’m kidding, of course. E.H. Taylor, Jr. Small Batch would be fine too.

Wishing you all a happy, healthy, politics-free Thanksgiving, surrounded by friends and family.
