FMLA hits home

A gentle reminder that eligible employees can take leave under the Family and Medical Leave Act to care for an immediate family member (spouse, child, or parent — but not a parent “in-law”) with a serious health condition, like a bad respiratory illness that requires hospitalization.

Please send some good vibes to my little guy, Pierce.

  • Oh no, poor Pierce. It looks, like he’s got a cookie, so that’s a sign he’s on the mend, I hope.

    Get well soon, Pierce.

Pierce! Party on with the free cookies, dude!! Sure hope you’re doing better real soon!!

  • Thank you so much everyone for the kind comments and emails. After a rough afternoon on Sunday, Pierce was much improved today. If he continues on this path, he may be out of the hospital tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

A little late getting to this blog post – it is Monday night and hope Pierce went home from the hospital today. As a parent and grandparent you don’t want to see your children or grandchildren sick… but they are resilient. I have seen quite a bit in my time… the cookie looks delicious and hope he continues on a mending path! A little pizza might help?

  • Sick or not, he’s a handsome dude! Hope he’s doing much better today.

    • Thanks, Danna. He got out today and he’s feeling much better.
